I guess I'm a heathen, I really want to please the people in church. But if God wants to listen He is of course welcome  Grin

When I play I put a part of myself into the music, and I definitely like to get positive feedback from the people that happen to be there when I play at church.   That is just human nature.  So I don't think you are a heathen sounds like you are just human and a musician to me.    I it is a simple matter of your body is in front of X number of people when you play, but your heart is playing for God.

Well said, harp player.

What kind of harmonicas do you use at church?

I have been learning the chromatic harmonica lately.  I have been taking hymns and trying to play them in each key.  It has been slow going but I will eventually get there.  I have not played it much at church yet, however.  I am trying not to hurt too many ears.  :-)

I play diatonic harmonicas.  I have mostly Lee Oskars, but I do have a few Hohner harmonicas in tenor keys, and 1 Bushman Souls voice (in F).  I do have a Hohner CX12 Chromatic Harmonica as well, but I seldom get it out.

I never made much headway with the harmonica. But I know a guy who also plays one in church.
