Hi all, As mentioned in another thread, I'm visually impaired, so all the usual fingering charts do me no good at all. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find a textual one? I know the basic scale, of course, because MO makes that very easy. But I don't know about accidentals at all. On my G, for example, how could I get a C# if I need to do something in D? I know I have twelve chromatic notes, I just don't know how to hit them.
This would be simple to make if it doesn't exist. I'm imagining a number system, where each hole has a number. Maybe left index is 1, left middle, 2 and so on; right index is 5, to right pinky at 8; left thumb is 9; right thumb is 10. Or you could use piano finger numbers, or something else. The point is, so long as the chart has the number-to-finger assignments clearly explained, you'd then simply need this:
G5: 1 2 3, 5 6 7 8, 9 10 A5: 1 2 3, 5 6 7, 9 10 G6: 9 10
Does something like this exist? If so, where? If not, it would make a great addition to the MO site, as an additional resource for those who can't use the image-based charts. Thanks for any help on this.
