Hi there, and a happy new year to everyone!

I've been to an esperanto festival in Germany during a week to celebrate the new year, and had the chance to play with three girls (pianist, guitarist and flutist) during a musical evening in front of ~130 persons. This was really great! No microphones, just live instruments, and the volume was really great, even with the flute.

I also played my MO in the corridors of the guest house where we stayed, and so had a chance to speak about it to some people. Four of these people asked if it had batteries in it!!!!  Grin Grin  I think they simply could not believe that such a small instrument could play so loud and beautiful.

And finally, a woman that loved it asked me to buy one for her (she had no internet, no credit card). So she ordered a polycarb C. Maybe I could become a reseller here ?  Wink

I'd love to go to one of those Esperanto gatherings!

I've also had the thought that an Esperanto version of the Mountain Ocarina web site might not be a bad idea.  Esperanto speakers may be scattered all over the world, but they (we) tend to take an interest when others take an interest in them.

When I joined, I can't tell you how suprised I was when I found several Esperantists on this (fairly small) topical online forum  Wink

I gotta agree with you on an Esperanto version of the website, though.

Yea - I've gotten the "so this is an electronic flute?" many times.  I'm looking forward to not getting those when Karl starts making the hardwood ones again Wink

Have you guys been reading my mind? I was looking at my MO last night and imagining a small device of that size/shape with a synthesizer inside, eight buttons on top (two underneath) and a air pressure-sensor mouthpiece. There'd be a USB or midi connector on the back end. Naw...BLUETOOTH! A laptop computer could do all the different voices and effects. If any of you guys build it I get royalties! Smiley

Ubizmo, your digital horn demo video was the inspiration.

... There is too much sax and violins on TV these days. Whatever happened to ukuleles and ocarinas?
