So, what does everyone think of the "Fushigi" balls? Contact Juggling for wannabes? Or a way to introduce people to contact juggling?

The latter. I don't have a Fushigi (yet), but it looks like a nice ball for CJ. But you still have to learn CJ! I generally use a steel ball, because a 4" sphere is a lot lighter than a 4" acrylic. The Fushigi should be lighter too, since it has a hollow core.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to win several gift certificates to Amazon.  It has given me the opportunity to purchase some things that otherwise I wouldn't be able to (such as my ukulele and some of the music books).

Among other things I have purchased a contact juggling ball, a video and a book on the art.  Some of the techniques are very easy to do and actually look really cool!  Others take a great deal of practice.  When I travel on business, I throw a tennis ball in my suitcase to practice a bit.
