Green shell, black liner: The Green Lantern

Man, I can just see all the comic book fans drooling over that one, lol. I think a collector's series of MO's is a brilliant idea! Ocarinas are already highly collectible, but having several colors to choose from for particular occasion/mood is too good to pass up  Wink

I'm curious to know if the idea is intriguing the staff to some extent or whatever. Smiley

Yes. I would love to be able to have more colors. Even with the small variations in the color of the liners we have from time to time, we see that some people have very strong preferences. But as mentioned before by Karl, there are logistical problems with varied colors which are significant to us right now.

If ya'll get the color thing worked out, purple linings would be sweet! Most teens I know are easily persuaded to buy something if their favorite color is on it :3

How about:

Blue shell, orange liner:  the Florida Gator model.
(or substitute favorite college team colors)

Pink shell, Purple liner:  the Barbie model

All purple ocarina:  the Barney model

All green ocarina:  the Green model
(environment friendly)

The green model can also be the "Esperanto" model Smiley

Well, maybe green with white lining would be more accurate. Lips sealed

White and Orange - The U

I'd probably get that one just to piss off my uncle, since the only college football team he likes is Florida State and I used to be a huge UM fan back when I actually used to follow football in general. Tongue

this sounds like a great idea to have different colors. Instead of having the gray lining, have the lining for the polys black for example

red shell, black lining
orange shell, black lining
blue shell, black lining
white shell, black lining
black shell, white lining
ect....

I actually thought about this myself. If you have the ability to draw well or paint well. Couldn't you paint on the MO? maybe some model paint.

Try looking at this thread:

Spatolo tried it at least once.  There is another thread, I just didn't find it.

I have just finished painting my MO Poly G.

I would be a better job if I were a better artist.  But is was fun trying.

In the spirit of modification and personalization, it would be nifty if MO could do laser engraving, a la the newer iPod models. And last night I was thinking how cool it would be if there were "green" ocarinas (ocagreenas? emphatic NO!), made from recycled or reclaimed materials. For instance, polycarbonate is a #7 polymer, like soda bottles, CDs, and cups. And look, ocarinas made the Wikipedia list! Anyway. It was just an idea to play around with. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas, everyone.
